Tracking Airline Flights

May 20th, 2010 | By Jose DeJesus MD | Category: News, Physician Resources

Here is an online tool you can use to check on airline flights, courtesy of our friends at flightstats. You can see the expected departure and arrival times and gates for a flight and, if it is in the air, the real-time position of the flight. You can also check on airport conditions and flight performance to or from and airport or between two airports. This is a great way of comparing expected on-time performance of available flights between two airports, as well as checking on the status of a flight you will be taking or meeting today:

The accuracy of data provided by this tool is under the control of Flightstats.

I entered my wife’s flight info and was able to set up automatic alerts to let me know when it actually took off and landed. When I was flying, I set up my own flight for tracking and got notified on my cell phone when the airline changed the gate for my flight and the airline didn’t announce the change. It saved me from missing my flight! Thanks for letting me know about this flight tracking service!
