Thanksgiving Wishes and a Peek at 2010
Nov 26th, 2009 | By Jose DeJesus MD | Category: Physician NewsGratitude makes us more worthy of the many blessings we receive, and Thanksgiving is an apt time to remember and be thankful for all the good things, great and small, that enrich our lives. In that spirit, I thank you, our readers, for your loyalty and participation in our community. I’m also going to give you a little peek ahead into what’s coming in the next few weeks and months — see below for details.
Remembering The First Thanksgiving
While it’s important to remember the good things that come our way through the generosity of others, I’m also reminded by the first Thanksgiving that self-reliance and the effort of each individual is important to the success of both the individual and the group, as detailed in The Real Story Behind Thanksgiving. Some of our readers have pointed out that this story has been recounted by the Ludwig von Mises institute, Rush Limbaugh, and others – all of whom have correctly turned to the story told by William Bradford, the governor of the colony.
